Courtney Barton Ingle named the 2017-2018 Lexington District Three Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Batesburg-Leesville Middle School teacher Courtney Ingle on being named the 2017-2018 District Three Teacher of the Year during the District’s annual Teacher of the Year Banquet this evening at Southern Occasions. Courtney was selected from four finalists including Randi Curry from B-L Primary School, Jessica McCleskey from B-L Elementary School and Paul Spence from B-L High School.

In addition to a host of other prizes, Courtney was also given the keys to a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, courtesy of Herlong Chevrolet-Buick of Batesburg-Leesville. Courtney will have the privilege of driving the vehicle for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year. This is the first time in Lexington School District Three history that a prize of this magnitude has been awarded to a District Three Teacher of the Year. According to officials with South Carolina Future Minds, the vehicle donation also makes Lexington Three one of only three districts statewide that provides a car to its District Teacher of the Year winner.

Courtney will go on to compete in the South Carolina State Teacher of the Year competition, which begins in January.
