Hartsville, S.C. — Coker College will inaugurate Dr. Robert L. Wyatt as its 16th president on Friday, March 26 at 10 a.m. in the Courtyard at Davidson Hall on campus. The ceremony is open to the public and will be followed by a luncheon in the College’s Susanne G. Linville Dining Hall.
Hartsville, S.C. — Coker College graduate Anna Lippard '10 of Gaffney, S.C., has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State to spend a year teaching English in Bratislava, Slovakia. Lippard graduated from Coker in May with a degree in history and minors in English and dance.
Hartsville, S.C. — Coker College is launching its online courses program this summer. Enrollment is open to current Coker students and students in good standing from other colleges and universities. Online classes begin on Saturday, May 15 and end on Saturday, July 10.
Hartsville, S.C. — Jean Mangum Johnson of Clinton, S.C, is the 2010 recipient of the Coker College Alumni Association’s Distinguished Service Award. A 1973 Coker College graduate, Johnson was recognized for her work as director of Christian education at First Presbyterian Church in Clinton.
Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree from Coker in elementary education and she holds a master’s in education from the University of South Carolina.
