A Celebration of life for Mr. Jerry Francis Sansbury, 78, will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the Hartsville Country Club. Private interment will be held in the St. Luke Memory Garden.
Jerry died peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2019. Born in Darlington Co., SC, he was a son of the late Edell Sansbury and Florrie Dowling Sansbury. He attended The Citadel and graduated from Coker College in 1964. Jerry then started his career at Sonoco Products Company where he retired in 1999. His favorite pastimes were spending time with family, spending time at Santee and fixing things. He enjoyed watching old westerns on television, such as Gun Smoke.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Pam Parrott Sansbury of Hartsville, SC; children, Kimberly Sansbury Zimlich (Rick) of Charleston, SC, James Todd Sansbury (Heather) of Cornelius, NC, Traci Funderburk Rogers of Hartsville, SC; grandchildren, Julia, Andrew and Leah Zimlich, Griffin and Emily Sansbury and Makki Watson; many nieces and nephews; brother, James Sansbury of Florence, SC; wife-in-law, Jean Sansbury of Hartsville, SC.
He was predeceased by his sister, Anne Cashwell.
