It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mrs. Patrice Watson McFadden of Society Hill, SC. Mrs. McFadden transitioned on Friday evening, January 4, 2020. Funeral service will be 2:00PM on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Round O Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Patrice Latoya Watson-McFadden was born in Darlington County on June 25, 1975 a daughter of Robert L. Watson, Sr. and the late Joyce Pugh Watson. She departed this life and was called home to glory on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Carolina Pine Regional Medical Center, Hartsville, SC. She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools graduating from St. John’s High School Class of 1993. She furthered her education at Wingate University with a major in Psychology and Pharmacy where she earned a degree. She also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Coker College. Patrice was employed at Saleeby Center in Hartsville, SC until her earthly departure. At an early age, she joined Round-O Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active member.
Patrice was united in marriage to Roland McFadden and from this marriage they shared a daughter, R’Dashia Tynika McFadden. She was a loving mother who invested wholly in raising her daughter. She was an enthusiastic, bold and bright soul to all that knew her. Patrice leaves to cherish her memory are: her daughter, R’Dashia Tynika McFadden; her father, Robert L. Watson, Sr. of Florence, SC; two brothers, Robert L. Watson, Jr. and Timothy J. Watson; her aunts and uncles: Ollie Bell James of CT, Margaret Pugh, Raymond Pugh and Thurman Pugh all of Conway, SC; one nephew, Juwan Catrell Watson; one god-daughter, London McCullough; a host of other relatives and friends. Patrice is preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Pugh Watson; her grandparents: Marie Rush Pugh and Preston Arthur Pugh. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
