Stella Adler once said, “Life beats down and crushes the soul. Art reminds you that you have one.”
A Furman University graduate, she turned in memorable performances at Pushpush, The Essential, and Barking Dog Theaters in Atlanta, among others.
Her beauty and great promise were offset by a long and unfortunate struggle with addiction that was devastating her and those who loved her, and from which she has been released. Her caring heart compelled her to give aid to others even when she could not accept such aid herself.
She passed away during the first week of February. She is survived by her mother Deborah, her father Robert and his wife Shannon, sister Susan and brother Robin and his wife Kelly, her aunt Patty Langston as well as friends and colleagues in Hartsville and Florence SC, Atlanta GA, and Washington D.C.
Details regarding memorial services in Hartsville and Atlanta are forthcoming.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her name to HumaneSociety.org, WildAid.org, or a local theater company.
Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Directors are caring for the family.
