Outstanding Young Alumni Award 2017
Johnson graduated with a B.S. in both business and history from Coker University and went on to receive a Master of Engineering degree from Clemson University.
Johnson is the vice president of and member of the board of directors for three companies: North Industrial Machine, Precision Components and Services and Sun Superior. He is also a partner at Chafin, Johnson and Associates.
In addition to his career, Johnson is actively involved in many civic and professional organizations, including The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free Masons of South Carolina, The Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce and Darlington County Progress. He volunteers with the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Advisory Council at Coker University, the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership, the Machine Tool Advisory boards for the Darlington County School District and Florence-Darlington Technical College, and serves as a Board Member of the Architectural Review Board for the City of Hartsville.
Johnson lives in Hartsville with his wife, Brandy Timmons Johnson, and their two daughters.
