Lula Dew, 77, of 1003 Lakeside Drive, died Friday, December 18, 2009 at Mercy Hospice, Conway Medical Center. Mrs. Dew was born in Green Sea, South Carolina, a daughter of the late G. Lee and Minnie Jane Floyd. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Conway, and a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Coastal.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Dew Jr. Surviving are her children, Charles Lee Dew and Annie Johnson of Conway, Joan Looney of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Sue di Monda of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren, Joey Looney of Broken Arrow, Okla., Jennifer Willard of Tulsa, Okla., and Madalyn, Gregory, and Emmalee Johnson of Conway; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Bellamy and Retha Graham; one brother, Ted Floyd; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, followed by funeral services at 6 p.m. with Jonathan Floyd, her nephew, officiating. Entombment will be held 10 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2009 at Hillcrest Cemetery, at which time there will be a small service.
