Nina Ramsey Moore, 87, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born September 27, 1929, in Myrtle Beach, daughter of the late Vesta Martin Huitt and Jasper Newton Ramsey (former mayor of Myrtle Beach).
She was also pre-deceased by her son, James “Jim” Moore and her sister, Marian Heron. Nina was a graduate of Myrtle Beach High School and attended Coker University. She loved music, reading, her family and her church. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach where she played handbells and piano, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and helped found Tinkerbell Kindergarten.
Survived by two daughters, Jeanne M. Pellitteri, Lynn M. Oman and their father, Robert “Bob” Truman Moore, brother, Jasper N. Ramsey Jr, nephews, Billy Heron, Scott Heron, and Jon Heron, and dear grandmother to seven and great-grandmother to ten. T
he family will receive friends Monday, June 26th from 4:00 until 5:30 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 27th at First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Embrace Hospice (Open Arms Foundation) 1831 W.
