Obituary

Mrs. Nancy Land Wallace, age 88, of Lumberton, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Whiteville NC. She was born in Anson County, NC on September 13, 1935 to the late William Henry Land and the late Grace Ballard Land.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. John Walker Wallace, Sr. and her son, John “Johnny” Walker Wallace, Jr.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Faith Wallace Jackson (Jimmy); four grandchildren, Laney McPhaul Holsinger (Sarah), Christy Wallace Chapman (Phillip), James “Trey” Jackson and Taylor Jackson; one great-grandchild, Sawyer Holsinger and a host of friends and extended family members.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Lumberton with Rev. Josh Owens, Dr. Jerry Wallace, Joe Murdock, and Rev. Dr. Leslie Sessoms officiating. A time of visitation will follow at the church in the Cherry Fellowship Hall. A private burial will be held at Meadowbrook Cemetery.
