Laura Shafer McInnes entered into eternal rest on September 11, 2010. She was born March 13, 1918, in Charleston, SC. She overcame disabilities from polio at as early age to have a successful and productive career as an English and theater teacher.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral as she donated her body to MUSC. Memorials can be made to the Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina, 2350 W. Lucas St., Florence, SC 29501.
