Aline Tuten McTeer, 90, widow of Angus R. McTeer, died Tuesday, February 3, 2004, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort. Born January 20, 1914, in Waycross, Ga., to Joseph Melvin Tuten and Eugenia Fox Tuten, she retired as a school teacher and was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. She was a graduate of Furman University and taught school in Ridgeland for 36 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Mrs. McTeer was recognized by the Jasper County Rotary for outstanding service to Jasper County.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Mike Thomas of Ridgeland; granddaughters, Amy Aline Thomas and Erin Thomas Harmon. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with burial in Grahamville Cemetery. Visitation is 1-2:30 prior at Sauls Funeral Home.
