COKER COLLEGE CLASS OF 1961 celebrated their 60th Class Reunion this year 2021, the year of the Coronavirus. Since the Class could not get together in person, 69 classmates were contacted. A 60th Class of 1961 Reunion Project which was19 pages was compiled and sent to each classmate. It told of each classmate’s lives from when they left Coker until 2021. The Class had many 2 year Business Majors, day students, and those who transferred after 2 years.
The idea began very small…… and after getting information from classmates it became a BIG project! It was interesting getting to visit with classmates. The Class of 1961 classmates have all had exciting lives and have all made this earth a better place because of their lives. The Class of 1961 should be very proud of themselves.
During this project it was realized how much we did not know about the Day Students! Looking back, we wish we could have had more time to spend with them and to get to really know them. The Class of 1961 has reconnected after 60 years!
A Big Thank You to Evan Vaughn, Director of Alumni Engagement, for his advice and encouragement on the Class of 1961 60th Reunion Project.
