Debra Lynn Matthews, 47, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
Miss Matthews was born on March 9, 1973, daughter of the late Roy Matthews and Barbara Dean Matthews. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and received a Bachelor of Business Degree from Coker College. Debra was a member of Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy and was employed with Assurant for 16 years.
Surviving are her siblings, Cynthia (Roger) Smiley of Sumter, Michael (Mickie) Matthews of Olanta, Brenda (Bobby) Moore of Coward and Linda Parrott of Scranton; aunt, Ann Fulton of Scranton; a special friend of 20 years, Johnnie Gilfillan, Jr. of Sharon; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, that she loved dearly.
Debra was preceded in death by her grandparents, Duncan and Mary Matthews; niece, Jessica Matthews; nephew Robert Moore and special cousin, Lori Fulton Defee.
Private funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial at Strickland-Feagin Cemetery, Lake City.
