Margaret Elizabeth Bellamy 66, passed away April 24, 2023, surrounded by her loving husband and daughters. Marbie was born September 3, 1956, to John and Mary McGarry in Kingston, New York. After graduating high school, she went off to study education at Coker College in South Carolina where she met the love of her life, Edward.
Marbie and Ed were married in 1980 and settled down in Ballston Spa, NY after purchasing a family owned print shop. They welcomed their first child in 1983, Jessica followed by James, Magan and Kathryn. Marbie dedicated her life being a wonderful mother and designer for their business, Messenger Press. She was the foundation of our family and thrived at being a mother and her favorite role, Mimi, to her six grandchildren. She was an excellent gift giver, never missed a special date, loved the outdoors and music. Marbie could always be found running circles around everyone. Whether it was working in the garden, hiking, or relaxing on her deck she helped to build, doing anything outside was always her favorite.
Marbie’s family was big, just like the love she had for all of them. She lit up every room she walked into, her laugh and smile were infectious. She loved to cook and entertain and keep herself surrounded by those she loved. Marbie will be greatly missed by so many.
Marbie was predeceased by her parents, Mary and John, brothers, Jack and Peter, and sister, Pat.
