Coker College’s Department of Language, Literature, Communication, and Religion invites applicants to apply for positions as Adjunct Faculty in English (first-year composition), Communication (public speaking) and Spanish (first-year instruction). Primary responsibilities include:

  • organizing and presenting subject matter in a meaningful way to achieve intended learning outcomes for students that may include the main campus, satellite campuses, and online instruction;

  • evaluating student progress;

  • recording student grades and attendance in WebAdvisor;

  • and other duties as assigned by the department chair or program coordinator.

Applicants should be  passionate about teaching; dedicated to developing meaningful, collegial working relationships with students, faculty, and staff across campus; eager to contribute his/her interests and ideas for new and innovative courses and programs; and committed to actively contributing to Coker College’s mission.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching introductory college-level classes in the respective field of study. A post-undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline from an accredited institution is preferred.
