Adult Degree Program

Coker College is seeking qualified applicants for the part time position of Student Services Site Coordinator for the Adult Degree Program. The ideal candidate is highly motivated to help students reach their potential and is primarily responsible for the following:

  • Providing assistance to students and faculty at Coker College’s Florence location on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 4:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Organizing and hosting enrichment activities, workshops, and social events for the students
  • Assisting students in the computer lab as needed
  • Assisting with orientation, registration activities, and other related Adult Degree Program activities each term
  • Collaborating with the Director of the Adult Degree Program to ensure student and faculty needs are met
  • Planning and promoting on and off campus recruitment events that contribute toward team enrollment goals
  • Completing other duties as assigned by the Director of the Adult Degree Program.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated proficiency as it relates to computer software applications
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience applicable to assisting adults in an academic environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrated confidence to reach out to students to offer assistance and support
  • Personal passion for higher education, with a belief in the value of a liberal arts education and the mission and values of Coker College

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in higher education      

This is a part time, non-exempt position with a competitive salary. The successful candidate will report to the Director of the Adult Degree Program. Ability to work evening hours as advertised is required.
