The Coker College Department of Dance, Music and Theatre invites applicants to apply for the position of  Visiting Assistant Professor of Music (Voice)  beginning August 2017 with the possibility of a continuing or tenure-track appointment thereafter.  The candidate will join a dedicated faculty to help strengthen a growing music program.

Teaching responsibilities include:

Applied voice, class voice, diction, vocal pedagogy, and other courses depending on interest, expertise, and the needs of the program, as well as possible assignments in general education.

Other responsibilities include:  

Taking an active role in recruiting, increasing the music program’s regional profile, and sharing administrative duties as required.  

Required qualifications:

DMA in vocal performance or vocal pedagogy (ABD considered) or another relevant degree, potential for excellence in college-level teaching, evidence of successful performance career, and a collaborative mentality.
