Coker’s 108th Commencement Exercise

Coker College’s 108th Spring Commencement will be Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 8:00 a.m. at The Courtyard in front of Davidson Hall. Tickets for family and friends are not required. The schedule for Spring Commencement will be:

Tentative Schedule for Graduates:

Saturday, May 14, 2016

7:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.

  • Graduate check-in
  • Front lobby of the Elizabeth Boatwright Coker Performing Arts Center. Only graduates will be allowed in the Performing Arts Center.

7:30 a.m.-7:45 a.m.

  • Graduate Information

7:45 a.m.

  • Graduate Assembly
  • Graduates must be in caps and gowns (Bachelor) or gowns (Master) and seated in the Elizabeth Boatwright Coker Performing Arts Center.

8:30 a.m.

  • Commencement Exercise
  • The Courtyard at Davidson Hall
  • The processional will begin the formal ceremony. Family and guests should be seated by 8:15 a.m.

The Courtyard at Davidson Hall

Photography during Commencement

A professional photographer will take a photograph of each graduate receiving his or her degree. Family and guests are asked to use the designated family photography area to the left of the stage.

Inclement Weather Plan

Coker College will make every attempt to hold Commencement at The Courtyard at Davidson Hall on Saturday, May 14 at 8:30 a.m. If the weather forecast on Saturday morning indicates rain, Commencement will be moved to the Harris E. & Louise H. DeLoach Center and will begin at 9:30 a.m. Graduates will check-in and assemble at the Harris E. & Louise H. DeLoach Center beginning at 8:15 a.m. If the inclement weather plan is activated, weather information will be updated by 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning and may be checked by calling 843-383-8000 or checking this webpage.
