HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Congressman John Spratt took time out of his busy campaign schedule to visit with faculty, staff and students at Coker College on Friday.

Congressman Spratt spoke about the new health care law that will make health care more affordable and more available, while also making insurance more obtainable not only for South Carolinians, but for all Americans.

A native of York, S.C., Congressman Spratt was first elected to Congress in 1982. Currently, Congressman Spratt is the Chairman of the House Budget Committee, is the second ranking Democrat on the Armed Services Committee, and he also co-chairs the Textile Caucus, the Bearing Caucus, and the Nuclear Energy Caucus.
