HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Jan. 15, 2014 – Bruce McIndoe, CEO of iJET International (iJET), will lead a session titled “Global Insights on Career Development” at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 on the Coker College campus. Hosted by Coker’s Office of Career Services, the event will take place in the Library-Information Technology Center atrium. The session will be focused on study abroad and international internships, career development and global business trends.

Additionally, McIndoe will be part of a business and entrepreneurship breakfast reception at the Duke Energy Center for Innovation from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, hosted by the Coker Enactus team. The reception will focus on the opportunities, trends and challenges involved with starting a high-tech business.

"Thriving in today’s global economy requires an understanding that transcends beyond geographic borders. It’s understanding the macro-level trends shaping our world and the cultural nuances that uniquely define the social and economic dimensions of communities and global business. Our new generation of students and business leaders who can shape new opportunities will have a keen understanding of the trends and dynamic changes facing our global economy,” said McIndoe. "I am looking forward to participating in Coker College’s career development session and sharing my insights on the value of understanding global perspectives for career development and business success."

Along with his presentation on campus, McIndoe is set to be the keynote speaker at a local Boy Scouts banquet on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Coker President Robert Wyatt is serving as emcee of the event.
