"I served Coker for 27 years from 1984 until 2011. I was chair of education for the first 15 years and was instrumental in starting what is now known as the Adult Degree Program on the Coker campus in 1985. My specialty was teaching courses on how to teach mathematics and science. I was also responsible for the Introduction to Education course, and a course on Teaching About the Holocaust."

"Having just graduated with my Ph.D., I drove 11 hours with my husband to complete an onsite interview. As soon as I met the Wiggins School of Education faculty and staff, I felt like I was at home. My Coker story is full of kindness, love, and wonderful friends, and who would ever want to leave all of that?"

"Coker has been an important part of my life since childhood and a source of wonderful memories over several decades. Completing my teaching credential in Coker’s evening program, I was well prepared for my education career. While teaching middle school in Atlanta and working on my doctorate, I would tell others that 'one day I hope to work at a school like Coker; let me tell you about it…' What a joy it is to be back at Coker working with wonderful colleagues and dedicated students."

"I came to Coker College in 2015 after spending 30 years teaching at both the elementary and college levels. I grew up in Charleston, South Carolina, and when my family and I decided to move back to South Carolina, it was with the thought of coming home. Home is exactly what I found at Coker College and in Hartsville. The faculty and staff at Coker are some of the most caring people you will ever meet, and they really support our students. I am very happy to be here!"
