What is the Faculty & Staff Campaign?

The Faculty and Staff Campaign is a fundraising effort that provides all Coker College employees an opportunity to support their area of choice at Coker College.

Why should I give to Coker?

Employees are the heart of our college. Every day, you make a difference at Coker by sharing your ideas, talents and abilities. Your participation in Faculty and Staff campaign is just one more way that you can join together with your colleagues to show your support for the college and make Coker even stronger. When is the campaign kick-off event?

The Faculty and Staff campaign planning committee is currently organizing a fall kick-off for the faculty staff initiative. Please check back for more information.

Will I receive a year-end tax receipt from the Coker?

All gifts to Coker and its affiliates are acknowledged and a cumulative calendar year tax receipt will be mailed to you.

If you have additional questions regarding your contributions to the Coker College, contact the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Will others know the amount of my gift or where I direct my contribution?

No. Coker College does not release gift amounts or designations without your permission. If you prefer for your gift to remain anonymous please indicate when you make your gift.

Can I donate through payroll deduction? online? Write a check?

Coker will be able to process your gift via payroll deduction by completing the Authorization for Payroll Deduction form.

Gifts are also accepted on-line via our secure giving website [] or by check to the Coker College.

What if my spouse works for a matching gift company?

Many companies participate in a matching gift program for education. The matching gift procedure is very simple. The employee gets a matching gift form from their human resources department. After completing the form, the employee sends it along with their gift to Coker College. (This form may also be sent in after the employee has made the gift.) Some companies have an electronic "matching gift request system," rather than a paper form, which generates a form sent to the campus. Coker certifies on the form that it has received the gift and meets the company's guidelines for receiving a matching gift, and then returns the form to the company. The company verifies eligibility of the employee and sends a check to Coker College.

My spouse works for the college. Will our joint gift count for both of us?

Yes-gifts will be recorded for both the faculty/staff member and their spouse.

I am still on a payroll deduction pledge. How will I know when my payroll pledge is complete?

If you have signed up for a payroll deduction to be taken from your employment check, you can call the Office of Institutional Advancement at 843-383-8014 to check when your pledge will be completed.

Will my payroll deduction pledge renew automatically?

No, your payroll pledge will not renew automatically. There is an option to have payroll deduction be continuous until further notice from you.
