Coker College invites applicants to apply for the positions in part-time instruction in it’s traditional day (Hartsville Campus) and Adult Learners Program for Higher Achievement (ALPHA has 3 campuses- Hartsville, Marion and Lake City) programs.  Coker College regularly seeks part-time instructors in various disciplines, and specific needs vary each term. Disciplines of regular need include Criminology, English, Mathematics, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Dance, Business, History, Art, and Education.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and presenting subject matter in a meaningful way to achieve intended learning outcomes for students.

  • Evaluating student progress.

  • Recording student grades and attendance in WebAdvisor.

Applicants should be  passionate about teaching; dedicated to developing meaningful, collegial working relationships with students, faculty, and staff across campus; eager to contribute his/her interests and ideas for new and innovative courses and programs; and committed to actively contributing to Coker College’s mission.

Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution is required.  Prior teaching experience is preferred.
