Hartsville, S.C. – September 22, 2016 – Enrollment for the fall of 2016 is the largest in Coker College’s 108-year history. The four traditional undergraduate classes are the largest the school has ever enrolled (811 students) with total enrollment at an impressive 1,186 students.

“I am very proud to see Coker College make such strides on the enrollment front,” said Adam Connolly, Vice President of Enrollment Management for Coker College. “The growth illustrates the depth and magnitude of Coker’s exceptional education.”

Coker’s adult degree program has had a significant increase in its enrollment this year, specifically in the Florence market with 85 participants. This year also launches the college’s newly formed partnerships with Northeastern Technical College and Midlands Technical College, a new undergraduate online degree program in business, and a criminology master’s program.

“I am immensely pleased with this year’s enrollment numbers,” said Coker College President Robert Wyatt. “It’s a testament to Coker’s ever-widening reach and reputation, as well as the commitment and energy of our faculty, staff, students and alumni.”

In addition to the increase in enrollment, Coker College has also been included in Washington Monthly’s Top 100 list of Best Universities for a Bachelor’s Degree and Best Bang for Your Buck, as well as U.S. News & World Report’s Best Regional Colleges in the South.
