Federal law requires that the College publish annual statistics concerning the occurrence on campus of certain crimes, and the number of arrests for specific other crimes. Records for this report, as required by law, include information for the calendar years 2013, 2014 and 2015. It should be noted that the offenses for which statistics are reported are defined in accordance with the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) system. The following annual security report provides crime statistics for selected crimes that have been reported to local police agencies or to campus safety authorities. The statistics reported here generally reflect the number of criminal incidents reported to the various authorities. The statistics reported for the sub-categories on liquor laws, drug laws, and weapons offenses represented the number of people arrested or referred to campus judicial authorities for respective violations, not the number of offenses documented. This report complies with 20 U.S. code section 1092 (f). A close relationship is maintained with the Hartsville Police Department, whereby information is shared about any crimes which may pose a threat to the campus.
If you wish to receive a hard copy of the Annual Security Report (which includes both the Crime Statistics report and Fire Safety report) you may stop by the Campus Safety office located at 311 East Carolina Avenue.
