"Behind the Scenes": Collaborative Creative Research in the Performing Arts

April 8th, Wednesday 6-8 pm in the Performing Arts Center.

Order of Events

6:00-6:20 - Dance and Musical Theater

  • In Dance Studio: Performances of work presented at the American College Dance Association- Fragments from the Painted Sea by Kristin Hapke
  • In Watson Theater: Musical Theater Medley: a look at musical theater from several decades with student vocalists accompanied by Kim Roberts on the piano and directed by Graham Wood.

6:30- 6:50 - Choir and Theater

  • In the Choir room: Dustin Ousley will led a presentation by Coker Singers' upcoming performance of the Berlioz Requiem with the USC Symphony and Choirs and performances by student conductors from the conducting course.
  • In the Black Box: Kindra Clyne Steenerson and students present "Breathing Lives" a devised piece about what's problematic about #alllivesmatter

7-7:20 - Dance and Musical Theater

  • In Dance Studio: Student Presentations of senior's thesis projects with Professor Gallo
  • In Watson Theater: Musical Theater Medley: a look at musical theater from several decades with student vocalists accompanied by Kim Roberts on the piano and directed by Graham Wood.

7:30-7:50 - Choir and Theater

*A ten-minute transition time with be given between performances to travel between spaces, ask questions, mingle and eat in the Performing Arts Center with musical accompaniment provided by the Coker College Flute Choir.
