Daniel T. Hill, B.S.

Assistant Director of Kalmia Gardens

  • B.S., Francis Marion University

“I came to Coker after spending many years traveling as a contract biologist. I participated in research projects in many states, but South Carolina has always been home. While attending a local university, I used Kalmia to study for my botany classes, taking advantage of it as an outdoor classroom. When I was hired for my current position, I felt I had come ‘full circle’ and discovered I had joined a new family. I am privileged to be a part of the diverse and dynamic team that is Coker University.”

I teach canoeing and kayaking for Coker students, as well as Green Gardening classes for anyone interested. I can assist anyone with ecological-based research in or around the Gardens. I am more than happy to share my knowledge of the Gardens and ecology with visitors to the Gardens. I can also cater this knowledge to fit school standards while providing a naturalist-guided tour of Kalmia Gardens.
